Educational content

Everything on courtcostguide.com is published for general education about court filing fees and court costs. It is not legal advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified attorney or the clerk of the court where you plan to file. Nothing on this site creates an attorney–client relationship.

Figures and sources

Every figure names its published source on the page where it appears. Where sources disagreed we publish the official figure and note the difference. Figures carry a Last updated date and may have changed since; court fees change, sometimes mid-year, and vary by county and court.

No guarantees

We work to keep figures accurate but make no warranty of completeness or currentness; official sources control. If a figure here differs from your court's published schedule, the court's schedule is the one that applies.

Calculators

Calculator and cost-stack outputs are estimates only, built from the figures you enter and our published data. They are not a quote, a filing, or a determination of what you will pay.

Advertising and independence

Ads displayed on this site do not affect our figures or how we present them; we do not sell placements in our tables or guides.

Corrections

If you spot an error, tell us via the Contact page and we will check it against the official source and correct it if it is wrong.
